The reasons for the warning, according to a spokesperson for the Treasury, are related to security concerns. Sharing the photos could:

 * Potentially reveal sensitive items.

 * Reveal security features or confidential structural details.



The warning was reportedly prompted after photos of the initial demolition of the White House East Wing, facing the Treasury building, were taken and widely circulated online. The construction is for a planned $250 million ballroom addition.
